Hands On staff member Michael Day was presented with an award for achieving distinction in the Education UK Certificate for Agents at a ceremony on 24 December. Michael was one of only three graduates of this years Bangkok class to achieve this prestigious award. Forty-four education agency employees took the examination.
The course was an excellent way to expand my prior knowledge obtained while working for a UK university Michael said while giving a short speech on receiving his award. Michael worked in the admissions department of the University of Exeter before moving to Thailand to work with Hands On one year ago. Michael is in charge of University Relations for Hands On.
The Education UK Certificate for Agents is the leading training course for overseas university representatives. Run by the British Council, a UK government agency, the course covers all aspects of study in the UK. A final exam ensures that those taking the test have an excellent level of knowledge of the UK education system that will allow them to provide strong, unbiased advice to prospective students.
Six members of Hands On staff have successfully completed the Education UK Certificate for Agents with three achieving the award of distinction.
