We are committed to finding solutions to today’s global challenges and to support this, we are investing significantly in six Beacons of Excellence.
This pioneering spirit and ambitious vision still resonates and drives our University today, as we strive to deliver an exceptional research-led education to our 46,000 students, and to transform lives and societies around the globe through our world-leading research.
The Times Higher Education has shortlisted the University for its coveted ‘University of the Year’ award on four occasions in the last ten years. The most recent Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2019 awarded the University a unique ‘double first’ in declaring it ‘University of the Year’ for both international students and sports provision, stating: “International and sporting excellence carry Nottingham to two University of the Year awards and a second successive shortlisting for the overall University of the Year title.
“In each succeeding age, the University will spread the light of learning and knowledge and will bind science and industry in the unity that is so essential for the prosperity of the nation and the welfare of our fellow citizens.”
