Milwaukee School of Engineering opened since 1903, we’ve been an academic institution intrinsically tied to the real world—a confluence of business knowledge, work ethic, and an enduring desire to know more. A small university dedicated to achieving big things. We are a tight-knit group of like-minded individuals—professors with years of industry experience who come to mold the eager and determined; students who pursue their passions with tenacity and resilience. Together, we unriddle the impossible and reinvent the way things are done.

Milwaukee School of Engineering is a private, non-profit university offering bachelor’s and master’s degrees in engineering, business, and nursing. At MSOE, you will find a caring community of students and faculty. MSOE students are bright, creative, hard-working and fun to be around. Ours is a close-knit community of about 3,000 students, faculty and staff—large enough for big opportunities and small enough for personal attention. Together, we are committed to fostering a higher standard of academic programming and research, and personalized service, instruction, and guidance.

Our faculty are passionate about teaching. MSOE does not use teaching assistants, and our professors have an average of seven years industry experience each. This allows them to bring their practical knowledge to the classroom. Small class sizes (an average of 20 students per class, 11 students per lab) keep instructors in close contact with students. Students get real-world experience in top-ranked programs, from expert faculty. At graduation, you’ll be prepared to enter some of the most in-demand careers. In fact, in 2018-19, 96% of our graduates got the job or into the graduate school of their choice.

MSOE is consistently ranked highly by a number of organizations, and while this is gratifying, it is important to note that rankings should not be overemphasized by students or their families during the college selection process. Choosing a college is an individual decision that should be made by students and families based on the student’s individual needs.
