The London School of English

The London School of English (LSE) is a social science research institution which can be seen in its Language Centre.

The language and culture courses empower you to learn how to use language in ways in which you want to stay, read, and work. Teachers encourage people to speak languages, but also to educate them about language (socio-linguistics and intercultural communication).

APD’s vision is that LSE students see their time at LSE as an opportunity to develop a range of skills through engaging with learning opportunities that encourage them to identify and develop their interests and strengths, build their confidence and develop skills that will help them ‘shape the world’.

The goal of APD is to provide educational opportunities that widen student horizons and provide them with many of the intellectual, professional and personal skills needed to deal with complex challenges in a rapidly changing world. APD units work to develop students’ analytical skills and broaden their intellectual horizons through interdisciplinary investigation of social issues and study of other languages and cultures. Complement specialist degree education with personal and professional development opportunities. Build students’ confidence in their ability to learn, adapt, create and communicate.
