The Hands On team facilitates our students by submitting applications to universities on their behalf, and we will also keep track of the applications for them until a decision is made.
Generally, documents required for university application are as follows:
- Transcript and Certificate. If you have not graduated, you may use your latest transcript.
- Certificate of English proficiency (IELTS or TOEFL). If you have not taken the exam or are still waiting for the result, please specify in the application.
- Two reference letters. At least one has to be from a teacher.
- Statement of purpose (SOP), which is short written piece to introduce yourself and explain why you are interested in the course. The essay should be 1-2 pages long (standard A4 size). Students seeking advice on SOP writing or reviewing are welcome to contact Hands On.
- Resume, to provide details about your work or internship experience, activities and projects you have participated in during your studies, and other relevant information you would like to inform the university about.
- A passport which is valid for at least 1.5 to 2 years.

1) If you have received a scholarship, we will need to attach the confirmation letter with your application.
2) Students who apply for Arts & Design programmes will likely be required to provide a portfolio
3) PhD candidates must submit a research proposal (10-20 pages)
