Work Part-Time, Save Money & Gain Work Experience
New Zealand has numerous conditions and laws to protect students who wish to work part-time, during their studies. By law, international students can work up to 20 hours per week during the semester, and up to 40 hours per week during the summer break, in order to ensure that students are still fully focused on their studies. Choosing to work whilst studying can be a significant reliever regarding living expenses, as well as an important life lesson, as students will learn how to deal with problems and be able to put their English to the test. There are many part-time jobs available to students, such as:
- Retail sales assistant
- Seasonal worker
- Supermarket assistant
- Waiter/waitress
- Kitchenhand
- Bartender
- Call center worker
