With over 18,000 students, 1,500 of which are international students from 130 countries, it has a growing reputation among students and their parents. This upward trajectory is confirmed by the rise in rankings in The Guardian, from 71 to 63, for 2016.
Although established in the early 1970s, Bournemouth University was inaugurated as a university in 1992, allowing the University to validate its own degrees for the first time. Now offering over 150 undergraduate degrees and around 100 postgraduate degrees, Bournemouth University is a popular destination for students wishing to study: tourism, hospitality or events management.
Less than two hours by train to London, Bournemouth University is located on the south coast of England in Dorset. The main campus, situated in Talbot is a short bus ride from Bournemouth town centre, located on the border between Bournemouth and Poole. Whilst the Lansdowne Campus is just a short walk away from Bournemouth town centre. Both campuses therefore allow students to have the ‘Bournemouth Experience’ in a vibrant town and bustling harbor.
