Our campus is a ten-minute walk from Leeds city centre. We have committed more than £520m to a transformative campus development programme. The Edge is our state-of-the-art fitness, sport and well-being facility, which includes a 25m eight lane swimming pool and one of the largest fitness suites of any UK university.
The students’ union has more than 300 clubs and societies. Ours was the first students’ union in the UK to be awarded Excellent status by the National Union of Students (NUS) as part of its Quality Students’ Unions accreditation scheme. Ours was also the first students’ union in the country to receive two gold standard awards for the Students’ Union Evaluation Initiative
Our single-site campus, one of the largest in the UK, is just a short walk from the centre of Leeds. Everything is in one place and it’s really easy to get around. The University is a creative community with a rich cultural life, offering many opportunities for you to get involved or immerse yourself in the arts.
If you want to get out into the great outdoors there are a number of green spaces on campus for you to enjoy.
A highlight is our sustainable garden with fresh food intended to be picked. Instructions of what to pick and how are available around the garden, which can be found next to the Roger Stevens Building.
Leeds is a bustling city surrounded by beautiful countryside. Our campus is a ten minute walk from the city centre and as a student here, you’ll have access to a thriving cultural centre, hundreds of bars and restaurants and some of the best shopping in the UK.
Furthermore, Leeds has 62 community parks, with facilities including playgrounds and sports pitches. The nearest to the University is Woodhouse Moor, a 26 hectare park just on the edge of campus.
