I was looking for 1-year postgraduate study, so UK became my destination. After that, I decided to go for Scotland because of the atmosphere, architectural style, the reasonable cost of living and particularly life safety.

I worked as an HR associate in a multi-national company for many years and wanted to expand my HR expertise for my career advancement in this industry. Different from a typical HRM course, I would like to have HR insight at regional or international level, which will enable me to deal with cross-border challenges. There are the limited number of universities that provides international HRM. After going through all possible options, IHRM at the University of Edinburgh is the one that fits my purpose.

After submitting my interest through Hands On official website, one of the staff reached out to me within the same day. They nominated P’Khoawpun to be my personal counsellor. I could say that she is professional. I can easily follow the application process advised by her and sorted out everything by the first round of the application. Although I had a long list of detailed inquiries, she provided support with kindness and her willingness to help me achieve my goal is outstanding. In addition, she was not reluctant to share her own experience when she was in the UK so that I felt more comfortable as if I was talking to an alumnus. Without her, I would have spent a great deal of time going through the process on my own and probably could have missed something out.
